Susie Spinks Meditation and mindfulness course teacher

Susie Spinks

Susie is the founder of Sydney Institute of Meditation. In 2019 she worked with the Meditation Association of Australia (MA) to develop the Mindfulness Meditation Plus program to be used as a Meditation Teacher Training Course. Susie has been teaching this program ever since, receiving nothing but 5-star Google Business reviews for Sydney Institute of Meditation.

She is very excited to be bringing the Mindfulness Meditation Plus program to the UK and North America.

Susie started a regular meditation practice in 2011.  It led to a transformation in herself, resulting in the realization that the practice of meditation had transformed her life.

Louise Everett

Louise began her wellbeing journey after years of desk work left her with hip pain and stress. As a result, she trained as a Pilates teacher. Pilates helped her rebuild strength and balance, and teaching deepened her appreciation for how movement supports physical and mental wellbeing.

As she continued teaching, Louise wanted to understand more about stress, focus, and the mind–body connection. This curiosity led her to explore meditation. Meditation gave Louise practical tools to manage stress, regulate emotions, and feel more connected. Because the benefits were so apparent, she became interested in the science behind why these techniques worked.

Over time, she explored many meditation styles, from traditional seated practice to Yoga Nidra workshops and meditation retreats.
Inspired by the impact of meditation, Louise trained as a meditation teacher.

Teacher Training

Debbie Wyer

Debbie’s work is based on the belief that body and mind are inseparable. Meaningful change happens when people feel safe, supported, and connected from within.

For many years, she has taught Pilates and other body-based practices. Through this work, she helps people release tension and move with greater ease. As a result, body awareness naturally improves.

Over time, Debbie noticed how much stress her clients were carrying. Importantly, she saw how this stress affected movement, posture, and breathing. At the same time, she began practising meditation herself. Initially, this helped her feel more balanced and sleep better. It also supported her during a busy working life.

Through regular practice, Debbie experienced how meditation calms the nervous system. Consequently, the mind becomes quieter and rest feels more accessible. These personal benefits, combined with her client observations, shaped her approach. Therefore, she began integrating awareness, breath, and stillness into movement-based work.
